About My Spiritual Growth and the Discovery of the Mayan Prophecies for 2012

About, sixteen years ago, I underwent a major spiritual transformation after a period of depression. Deep forgiveness started me on a path of personal discovery I could never have predicted. I started to question my thoughts, finding them to be untrue beliefs about myself and others. What I uncovered was very liberating! You'll find some of my experiences in the articles on this site.

Through counseling sessions, we found I had been abused from an early age. I'm sure some of you can relate to this.

A period of anger lasted for a few months, and then the REAL work began. My first step was to truly FORGIVE my Grandfather. Next I forgave my parents for not noticing the problem and protecting me. The last and most important person to forgive was myself for my failed intimate relationships.

I made a conscious decision to change my life. It was time for me to leave victimhood, take back my power, and accept responsibility for my life experiences. This meant making decisions for my higher good, and not making decisions based on past conditioning or imprints. Many of the articles on this website endorse different methods I found effective in moving me in this direction like A Road Less Traveled, A Course in Miracles, The Right Use of Will, The Work by Byron Katie, and many more.

What I experienced after can only be described as a miracle.

Happiness beyond anything I could have imagined resulted. Just looking up at the sky could bring tears of joy, like I was seeing clouds and the brilliant blue for the first time.

I even discovered I had an amazing gift as a talented artist without ever having a lesson. You will be able to see some of my art on this website under Spiritual Art. Each piece is based on a metaphor from nature, which always seemed to magically appear to help me through a rough spot like a guiding hand.

Next, I developed an acute sensitivity to the vital energy within, and the energy emitted from all things. There is more, much more to us then what we have been led to believe through the senses.

The decision to change my life caused God/The Universe to bend over backwards to help me.

To my surprise, my inner guidance prompted me to write a book on the ancient Maya. This website is a compilation of the countless hours of research, as well as trips to the Yucatan Peninsula. The Mayan prophecy for 2012, and the ancient Maya’s significance in predicting this event came full force into my radar.

My travels took me to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize to see the pyramids and other sacred places. I witnessed the famed light serpent, Quetzalcoatl, descending the stairs of the Great Temple of the Feathered Serpent at Chichen Itza during the spring equinox.

In the pitch-black depths of a cave I traveled an underground river by canoe for over a mile. This journey took me into the heart of the mountain...to Xibalba...the Mayan underworld. There, I felt the ancient spirits mingling with my spirit. The Mayan ruins in Tikal, Chichen Itza, Tulum, Lamanai and more were part of my itinerary. What an experience!

These trips and my inner guidance, pointed to the huge spiritual growth possibility around 2012. I had to tell you about it.

It became obvious to me through my research that our spiritual growth and evolution are predestined by virtue of overlapping cycles. The Maya and others knew this. They saw our future in the stars. Their buildings and stone carvings tell this profound story.

When we accept change our journey is smoother, like riding a wave into shore.

It's only when we fight the momentum of the wave, and swim against it that we suffer. My goal is to help you take the path of least resistance, and understand why we are going through these major changes now, within and on the planet.

I, for one, have chosen to accept the universal wisdom and see where the wave takes me. Yes, this requires great trust. But, I can tell you, it's been an interesting, enlightening ride for which I have no regrets. My journey to Mount Shasta, CA is a good example of what I'm saying.
